The main character is a woman in her mid-30's who isn't married, has no children and is surrounded by friends who are married/with or without kids. She is happy in her choice to not be one of them, but deals with the frustration of her choice being pitied. She helps her friends deal with the crises they come up against and examines her own choices. This is more than just fluff and dealt with some tough issues.
