Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this latest chapter in the tale of Lily and Rule. They continue working out how to balance his role as Rho of one clan, heir of a seconds and PR face for all lupi, her job with the FBI and the limitations that their mate bond places on them. There were a few times where they had to place what they thought was the right thing to do below what the other one needed to have happen, even though it could cause them problems.
More delightfully, Benedict, previously a supporting character, comes into the spotlight in this book, sharing the lead role with Rule, Lily, Cynna and Cullan. We get to learn a lot more about his past, especially what happened with his Chosen all those years ago.
I thought this tale was very well told. The level of conflict has been gradually increasing over this series, which makes the announcement by the Leidolf Rhej at the end of the book not much of a surprise.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
