Fiona Monaghan is editor-in-chief of New York's leading fashion magazine. She is content with her crazy, unorthodox life style and has no wish to change that until she meets the head of the new ad agency for the magazine, John Anderson. He's a widower with 2 grown daughters. John is as conservative as Fiona is unconventional and yet they find themselves in love and married. The stresses of her life style and his daughters disapproval finally tear their marriage apart. She leaves everything and moves to Paris where she starts a new career as a fiction writer. However, life still has some surprises in store for her.
