I absolutely *adore* Cynthia Eden and the Purgatory series.
This installment continues momentum from book 2 and we now get a glimpse of Connor & Chloe's story. Connor is horribly scarred both physically and mentally by the abuse at the hands of his sadistic father. All he knows is hate & rage. Until he meets Chloe.
Chloe was also at the mercy of her own sadistic father and his attempts to harness the power of her dormant beast.
There's more back story on the scheming involving Purgatory but also lots of steamy little romps between the action.
I love the set up toward the end involving Eric so hopefully that stick will come out of his butt soonish, he'll get laid, and stop being such a prick.
