American Georgina Anderson can't wait to get out of England. After finding that her fiance has married someone else, she just wants to go home to lick her wounds. Without money for passage, she decides to work her way home and signs on as a cabin boy on the "Maiden Anne". She is shocked when she meets the captain...a man she ran across in a tavern while searching for her fiance. Georgina hopes he doesn't see through her disguise and recognize her as the woman who slipped away when his back was turned. But James Malory recognizes her immediately. Deciding to have some fun with his cabin boy, he immediately sets out to seduce George right out of her disguise.

This book is one of my favorite Johanna Lindsey stories. I was thoroughly entertained by James and George. I thought parts of the book were hilarious, especially James first meeting with George's five older brothers.

I first read this book 20 years ago and decided to listen to the audiobook this time around. The story is read by Laural Merlington who does a decent job. It is very much in line with the books written in the early 90's. If you're not a fan of those books and are expecting a historical romance more in line with today's published stories, you will probably not like this book. But, since I was already familiar with the story and the characters, I totally loved this addition to the Malory family books. My rating: 5 Stars.
