i think this is the best of her four books.
i was already very familiar with the horrors of indian schools and was pleased with ms ault's reporting but even i have trouble believing the cruelty & thoughtless behavior was as pervasive and severe as she portrayed. at least i sincerely hope not!
that being said, i'm glad she wrote about it and i hope those not familiar with what went on in the bia and religious schools (for years and years and years) will read this and have their eyes and hearts opened.
