This book has an extremely provocative description, which is what made me choose it in the first place.
A story of a little boy and his mother who brought a strange child home from the park one day, a child who never left, who provided an enormous amount of comfort for both the mother and the little boy at first, but never left and finally ended up destroying them.
This is not a book that is deep and thought provoking, but it is well written and gives the reader insight into the slow and subtle descent of a mental illness. Suspenseful and thrilling, this author's debut book is worth the read.
