I read this in about 2001 and again this year - 2014. I liked it lots. Be prepared for a shocking and disturbing story.
I allowed my daughter to read this book when she was about 16. Maybe some would think I shouldn't have. I was pretty open with her about what she did. She's now 32 and turned out to be a pretty well-adjusted woman. She's the one who got me to listen to Marilyn Manson's music and read this book. Although I don't like all his music, I'm happy I did.
