I LOVED this book. After reading some of the reviews here I was skeptical whether it would live up to the previous Anna Pigeon novels that I have come to love. I was not disappointed. Nevada Barr still has it and this book is now among one of my favorite Anna Pigeon adventures.
As usual the suspense was building and had me rushing home from work looking forward to continuing in the beautifully written and edge of your seat novel. Anna's maternal instincts were spot on. Her description of Big Bend National Park made me want to go visit there. Getting to know her husband Paul was a joy. Once again Nevada Barr did not disappoint and I am looking forward to the next Anna Pigeon adventure.
