Terrible. Filler, filler, and more filler. I think Mcgough wrote this one because he was comissioned for three books, and the story could have fit into one. There are some developments, but little are crucial to the plot - I read books one and three and missed practically nothing. But, it's nice to have if you want the complete trilogy (and if you like Toshi, congrats, it's almost entirely about him).
