If you like stories that mirror real life, you will enjoy this book. It is the story of a father & his teenage son & how each of them must handle the grief of losing thier wife/mother, both in different ways. This is also the story of a father & son who love rock climbing & there's much information about rock climbing & equipment to inform the reader. The setting & the acts of nature that occure there are based in fact. The son finds faith yet is not able to convince his Dad. The ending is like life--we do not always know the decisions conerning Christ that others have made but we can always hope.
