There is so much history included in this novel that I wanted to travel AND read historical books about Europe, Romania, etc after I finished it. The characters in the story are very interesting. I felt the father was the most developed character and the daughter the least....I liked the novel and would highly recommend it to those who are NOT looking for a quick read, but are looking for a satisfying one. And wear your garlic.
