A very good, yet brief, telling of Sherman's sweep through Georgia and the Carolinas. A short chapter relates his life after the war.
I had to laugh when the last chapter described his army's parade through Washington, D.C. after the war's end. One officer in the army stated he felt nervous when some of his veteran 'foragers' passed jewelry store windows during the parade and looked longingly at them.
