It was a god story - finding out why Charlie felt the way did about men, learning about discrimination and judging people for their looks alone. The story moved along well but ended a little short, in my opinion, but there were enough side notes and hints about other people in Fool's Gold for the series to continue. How far it goes will definitely be up to Susan Mallery's imagination and need to move to another town. It would be nice to find out what happened to a few other characters introduced in earlier books, but again, there is enough going on in town to keep us reading along no matter what.
