The Geritol Mafia does it again; a beauty pageant winner comes back to her hometown and stirs up a fuss. Before long, someone decides Pansy needs to die. Unfortunately, Fortune is the last person to threaten Pansy, so almost everyone in town wants to jail Fortune for her murder.

Ida Belle, Gertie, and Marie decide to help Fortune escape the hangman's noose, but it may be difficult; there doesn't seem to be a man in town under 50 who hasn't tasted Pansy's charms. Deputy Carter is pulling all-nighters trying to deal with the investigation and all the help he's getting. Some want to help the deputy jail Fortune and the Geritol Mafia keeps Fortune out of his clutches. Lots of wise-cracking fun.
