One of the best books I ever had for living in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. I now live in Ohio and don't think I will be returning to any of these wonderful states. This book has great things and places to go that are fairly free and lots of exercise. You want to hike with kids and don't know where to go this is the best book to guide you on your way. My children loved all the many site and creatures we saw along our many paths and ways. This book also tells you what season your hike is open (very handy in the middle of winter when kids just want out of the house and everything is muddy around you). Our favorite place is Purgatory Chasm in Mass. it has rocks, caves, paths for mom, trees, cliffs, bike trails and much more along your way best place to take the kids all year. My family and I will sadly miss not moving back to Massachusetts or Conn. or visiting Rhode Island (the best places to live).
