This book has been a touchstone for me for the last 10 years. I first read it in college and didn't give it much thought after completing the required assignment. Years later I picked it up on a whim and it was a totally different literary experience. I have felt exactly like Edna some many times in my adult life. I have read this book over and over to the point of falling apart and still have not tired of it.
