Typical MaryJanice Davidson novel, humor, action, & a touch of ridiculous wrapped up neatly with a happy ending.
Derik's Bane was an easy, fast read, & my first book involving the Wyndham Werewolves, & I'm interested in reading the other books set in their world.
As for Derik's Bane, Derik is a wolf who turns Alpha, which creates problems with his home pack, as the current reigning Alpha is his best friend. To put some space between him & the pack, he heads out on a mission to save the world; kill the reincarnation of Morgan LeFay before she destroys the world.
He finds Sara Gunn, the reincarnated witch, but she's so cute, daffy, & funny (not to mention accidentally powerful) that he CAN'T kill her, so off they go on a road trip to destroy the secret society that is after her.
MaryJanice Davidson is good at making you laugh aloud at some of the characters words & antics, & this book was the same, so if you read it in public, expect some side-looks!
