ohhhhh, has to be one of the most poorly written books I have ever read......it's like a bad soap opera. In some parts, the conversations could have been written by a 4th grader.
A house party to celebrate the owner's 50th birthday turns into a murder mystery ala Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None". Seems like author created a shallow character based upon many stereotypes.........the loving foreign lesbian, the secret agent boyfriend, the handsome bulked up tough guy every woman drools over, the loyal servants, the "never grew up" middle-aged computer wizard, and more.
Then they throw in the arrival of an orphaned baby whose guardians are the young lesbian couple; not one but 2 young adults "outing" who their parents are; a "fiction" manuscript that turns out to be true with just the names changed.
I really expected more since the series had been recommended to me by members here.
