This book was so interesting that I had trouble putting it down. It is also a great book for identifying Indian craft items and to some extent learning how to make them.
Marz and Nono designed this book for creative individuals, group leaders, and teachers. It is informative and a good guide to the crafts of the main North American Idian tribes in the seven basic cultural areas. The craft items covered in this book are: moccasins, dresses, shirts, hats, headbands, hoods, fish nets, bowls, baskets, dolls, masks, games, drums, shilds, looms for weaving, and jewelry. Other topics are hair styles, food, music, names, sign language, and picture writing. I would have given the book 5 stars if it gave more information on the northeast tribes.
