A lovely story of a young woman's journey to find herself. It's the 1880s and Irma lives in a small mountain village in Italy. She is not marriage material according to her own father, so Irma sets off with the blessing of the village priest and her eldery aunt to America. The story of an immigrant who becomes something more. Enjoyable, full of history. I did find it a bit dry and rushed at the end, but overall, a good read.
