My experience with LADY KILLER was listening to the unabridged audio CD with Barbara Rosenblat as the narrator. And I must say that Barbara is a top-notch narrator. She give depth and emotion to each of the characters. She pauses in the appropriate places to let you know that the scene has changed. She alters her voice so that you can tell that someone else is speaking. Not all narrators are as good as Barbara. Some narrators are quite awful, so much so that you stop listening.
I really like the story. I think most every woman could indentify with someone like the "mean girls" from their high school past. They really cracked me up. I thought that Lisa keep their characters consistent and believable.
Someone recommended Lisa Scottoline to me because I have enjoyed the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich. Lisa's books are different but they are still fun to listen to like Janet's. The experiences of the characters here are probably a bit more believable. All in all an enjoyable experience.
