It's always a pleasure to spend time with Brother Cadfael, these are among my most favorite comfort reads. Nice historical detail integrated into the plot, a little romance as the young niece comes to the defense of the wrongly accused villager. Cadfael and Beringar are well fleshed-out characters as are most of the recurring minor ones.
