Harkness College Sophomore Raphael "Raf" Santiago has been dating Alison for over six months. Rafe is a virgin and has planned a big night for the two of them...until he finds Alison with another man. Reeling from the discovery, Rafe goes out drinking and hooks up with Bella, student manager of the school's hockey team. One night of passion leads to Rafe avoiding Bella the next day. He feels guilty for using her. Bella tries to tell him that it was no big deal, but he isn't listening. But when Bella is assaulted, Rafe is there to support her through a trying time.
Bella has appeared in other books in the series. I wondered if she would get her own book. She likes casual sex and makes no apologies about it. Rafe is sweet. He's ashamed of what happened with Bella but never belittles her and the situation she gets into.
I listen to the audiobooks in this series which are narrated by Nick Podehl and Saskia Maarleveld. As usual, both do a tremendous job. My rating: 4 Stars.
