I love Gina LaManna's "Lacey Luzzi Mafia Mystery" series and this is the first stand alone I've read by her. I was not disappointed and really liked the writing style.
Penny, Anne, and Eliza are friends, foes, accomplices, murderers? Two of them are married and one of them is single. All of them are liars along with their spouses. Murder, blackmail, theft, half truths & lies. The books starts with a murder trial transcript and works it's way backward from there revealing each month prior on the happenings between the woman and men along with the court transcripts. Everyone has motive and opportunity and all are unhappy with their lives culminating in a twisty tale on how far a person will go to eliminate someone who stands in their way. One has to ask themselves how much do you really know about your closest friends and their lives and how much do they really know about yours after the facades break down. A great mystery that will keep you guessing and changing who your are suspecting right till the last page
