Becky, a teenage girl in her final year of high school, finds herself pregnant. Her parents and boyfriend convince her to get an abortion. What follows is a string of devastating events: A madman comes into the abortion clinic and shoots everyone. She is the only one left. But really she wishes that she could die too. Anything to keep from feeling the pain. Anything to keep from hearing her baby crying in her sleep. Anything to keep from remebering that she murdered her child.
Maggie had an abortion herself over 20 years ago. Since then she has founded a program to help young women such as Becky. To help them heal and forgive.
Tears in a Bottle is a story of hope, forgiveness, and God's love. Many, many different characters make up this story. You have the abortion doctor, his wife, Maggie, Becky and her parents. Each one plays a role and each one gets to share a piece of their struggle.

Beautifully written, but don't read it unless you have a box of tissues nearby. It's heart wrenching. A much needed message is conveyed. Sylvia did a wonderful job at making the characters real. They have real problems and real life heartaches. Not everything ends perfectly. It's a bittersweet story.
