Melody Evans starts the book as a hostage in a foreign embassy. Harlan "Cowboy" Jones, of course, saves her. This book is not deep. It doesn't make you stop and think. It is just fun to read.
Jones does show early bits of the man who will later be Sam Starrett. In this incarnation, though, he doesn't have nearly as much heartache to live through to get his HEA. I laughed at the brilliance of his tent. Totally didn't expect it. I just loved this man.
