Because Hourly History promises a short, concise explanation of its subject, it takes less than two hours to read. This is a quick look at the events leading up to the formation of the nation of Israel and the war that convened almost immediately after its formation.

Bless Hourly History for an excellent region map, but we could have used it earlier in the book. This is an overview of the conflict, with considerable analysis. I thought it was balanced. Because they covered a lot of information in a short time, showing what and why things happened. Then, they talk about the effects that carry to the present. Finally, readers can access the bibliography for more information.
