This is such a captivating story that I read it in one sitting because I couldn't set it aside. We all know the name "Geronimo" but probably know little past the fact that he was a great Apache leader. It was helpful that some of Cochise's story was interwoven; it helped settle the men's relationship in my mind.

I was surprised to see how much I didn't know about Geronimo's life. The reason he continued to attack Mexicans was obvious (after his loss). In a different book, I read about Geronimo's life as part of the Wild West Show. He was an extremely popular attraction in that show.

As always, Captivating History lives up to its name -- this is certainly a captivating life that is shared with readers.
