I loved this book! When it was picked for the book club, I didn't realize that it was about the Titanic. I was a bit skeptical once I found out because of what I knew was going to happen, but I thought it was great.
I love Tess because she is such a strong female character and you don't see that much in books. She is smart and doesn't take crap from anyone. I thought the author did a great job of portraying the servant/employer relationship from that time period. My second favorite character was Alec. I just find him amazing. He is that guy that every girl desires with a little werewolf thrown in the mix.
I thought the other characters were great and helped make the story more alive. I found myself dreading the end because of what happens to the Titanic. I am not ashamed to say I cried. The author did a great job painting that picture.
I really love this book and am so glad I read it. I have always liked stories about the Titanic, and although it is fiction, this story did not disappoint. It is a great love story and I highly recommend it.
