The school cafeteria manager, Miss Swille, called it "apple lasagna." The kids called it "mystery food." Some were rude enough to call it "garbage." And one even referred to the lunch of the day as "poison" - although no one really believed they were being poisoned at school - until they found Milo Groot lying facedown on the lunchroom floor.
"Must be a bug," some said - "or maybe the flu". And when even more kids came down with the mysterious illness, it began to look as if Sebastian's hunch might be right. Could someone really dislike nerdy little Milo enough to poison him? Or is someone deliberately trying to sabotage Miss Swille's fine cuisine? Sebastian has his ideas about who might be guilty. But he discovers you can't jump to conclusions about what's been cooked up until you know all the ingredients.......
