I read the translated version. It was translated by Bernard Jones.
I think this is a sad book about relationships and people's feelings and just a general writing on all of that. These people are all definitely real and just your average Joe's that have changes of heart about their feelings and what their needs are for any given moment. Good writing and very good translation on the part of Bernard Jones.
