This book started out strong, but quickly fell into the category of "Isn't she so cute! She is so ditzy that you can't help but love her!" No really, I can. The heroine lost brain cells with every turn of the page. I just couldn't put myself thorough the torture of the entire book. How can anyone be that stupid? Lots of description, great writing, but lousy characterization and plot scenarios. If the heroine had shown more common sense, I would have enjoyed the book.

For example, she supposibly has a degree in journalism, but decided to become a chef. Then when reporters come around to talk to her, she babbles off about stuff she knows that she shouldn't be telling them and then wonders why they are not keeping it quiet? Hello, journalism degree???? Did you fail journalism 101? No wonder she became a chef (who supposibly wants to be on t.v.) It was inconsistancies like this that made me want to hurl the book across the room rather than suject myself to this torture.
