They are devoted to the Catholic Church and to their callingsbut their vital desires, powerful needs and overwhelming love for the women in their lives must always remain clandestine beneath the vows of physical purity. How can two men face lifetimes in service to the Church when the Church demands that love be ignored? How can they believe in a just and compassionate God who demands such unbearable denials?
