Book Review of A Man on the Moon: The Voyages of the Apollo Astronauts

A Man on the Moon: The Voyages of the Apollo Astronauts

A thoroughly readable account of the Apollo project (with flashbacks to Gemini and Mercury, as well). I was concerned that I might lose interest after the story of Apollo 11 (like most of the world did at the time of the actual missions), but Chaikin's deft storytelling kept me hooked. The details of the lesser-known later missions, including training anecdotes, personality conflicts, and in-flight drama, make for a real page-turner.
