As much as I love the Mercy Thompson series, I wasn't going to like this series as much....I was wrong. Wonderfully so.
The characters are likeable, strong, fallible, entertaining & interesting.
The brand new relationship between Charles and Anna has them working through a lot of emotions & feelings. I really liked that Patricia didn't give us the 'boy says 'this' and girl thinks 'that', misunderstands & everything is blown out of proportion' that authors tend to use. They, of course, have misunderstandings, dissapointments, etc....but, they work through them and actually talk to eachother.
On top of all that, they have to work together to search for a rogue werewolf who, apparently, is killing humans.
Only, everything is never what it seems...
The book is great...read it.
