Maggie Kincade designs and makes jewelry to order as well as items for the public. She learned this craft from her father, who was well known. The father was presumed dead and accused of stealing priceless gems from two governments. Maggie is being hounded by press and threats from people her father owes money to. Maggie has entered a contest to do her jewelry designs in England for a traveling exhibition spearheaded by Lord Nicholas Draycott of Draycott Abbey. Lord Draycott selects Maggie to be one of the first exhibitors, which will help her reputation and business tremendously. Nicholas Draycott enlists Jared MacNeil to thoroughly vet Maggie to be sure there is no personal hint of scandal attached to her. Jared is then to protect her and security for the exhibit. It doesn't take long after arriving in London for everyone to realize that there are people trying to hurt Maggie either for what she knows or what they believe she has.

The twists and turns that proceed are interesting. Jared has things to work through as well after returning from being imprisoned in Thailand. This is the book that Izzy, the computer whizz; and the man we would all want to call on for help and information, is brought into play.

A very good read as all of Christina Skye books are. Well worth the time to read.
