Where to begin---
1. I liked Peter Ash a lot BUT character still needs some work
2. story was slow, very slow, too slow for me
3. repeat over and over about how much the dog stinks, that is on every page or every other page and gets very tiresome reading repeat again and again, along with how long it's been since he had a shower and how much he stinks over and over, alright already we get it now move on
4. it's an old storyline and it takes forever to get to the point, I hate that in a book
5. so it is way too long, it's over 400 pages and should be at least 100 pages less
6. Peter has PTSD and I'm sorry for that but it's described and repeated over and over and over page after page after page, all right all ready we get it, now move on
7. being compared to Jack Reacher? no way, Reacher is ex-military cop and gets into a lot of messy situations (read the series), Peter Ash was in combat and has problems of his own and is a tough guy like Reacher but yet they aren't the same
8. the story wasn't anything new once you get into it but it just moves too slow with too much repeat (like this review)
On a personal note: I feel for the vets and how they get treated and neglected but in no way do I mean any disrespect in this review
