Flynn is a talented writer, no question. But this is a slooow story of a loving relationship that falls apart and how people start hurting one another when that happens. Yes, there are a few twists (only one isn't predictable) and if you can bear to read through to the end, you'll have a "yikes" moment but it's a long haul to get there. If I enjoyed depressing stories, I'd read more newspapers.
