This is a nicely-executed metal "O" ring bound edition that flips open and lies flat on the counter or will stand on its own when opened and placed upright. Nice firm plastic shield is the first "page" protecting the cover whose picture is a spiffy casserole with nicely-browned biscuits on top. Yum!
The book contains around 100 quick and easy recipes for easily prepared one dish meals. I baked a pork-chop dish the other night and my husband loved it. The ingredients were simple: 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup, pork chops, vegetables, and topping. What could be easier, and it was certainly tasty and quick to prepare and bake. It tasted even better the second day after baking, which often is the case with casseroles.
This would be a nice book for a beginning cook. It's hard to fail with such simple and explicit recipes, which can be easily halved or doubled. When one is just starting to cook, sucesses are thrilling. And necessary.
I am offering this book because I have a similar but an expanded edition and do not want to keep both in my collection.
