Private Investigator Cat DeLuca is owner/operator of Pants On Fire Detective Agency. Or hootchie stalker, as her Mama calls her.

While out on her daily run with Inga, her 4-pawed partner, she literally stumbles over a dead body. She does what any good PI would do .... corrupt the entire crime scene and turn the body over to get at a wallet ... which by the way identifies the victim as Bernie Love. When she turns around there is a man pointing a taser at her. When she comes to, the body is missing.

She and the Police Chief don't exactly see eye to eye on anything, in fact, he would like a reason to arrest her. So first she reports a murder victim and then she reports a missing body.

The entire DeLuca family is filled with cops and crooks. They are a tight knit family and if you mess with one, you mess with all of them. Her sister, from another planet, is a baby-maker and Mama is always after Cat to marry her smoking hot FBI boyfriend and start making grandbabies for her. Mama is really close friends with the parish priest and has him on speed dial .. just in case.

The mysteries are action-packed with Cat constantly stirring up trouble or getting in the way or creating more mayhem. But it's all done with tongue-in-cheek humor.

I have never enjoyed a series as much as I have enjoyed this one. This can be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend you start at the beginning ... you won't be sorry.
