This is the 18th book in the Scumble River series.

Skye and Wally have returned from their honeymoon and they are ready to get back into a routine. Skye has been dealing with morning sickness but does not want that to stop her from getting back to her morning swims. She is enjoying her swims and it seems to be helping with the morning sickness. The nasty volleyball coach makes those pleasant mornings miserable. To avoid the coach she makes sure to check the schedule, when it is all clear she dives into the pool. There she discovers that the shadow at the bottom of the unlit pool is not a shadow. With the baby on the way should she step aside and leave it to Wally to figure out?

I feel that the series has lost its charm. It was a cute series with interesting characters but no new quirky characters have been introduced and the current characters are falling flat.
