Published in 1971. This is an excellent book for kids interested in learning how the body works and what is happening to it. Published in 1971, the full color feature of the illustrations appealed to parents and teachers wanting their children to have visulas that complement a good explanation of human anatomy.
The book covers all aspects of the body, addressing kids most common questions. Chapters are broken into the following categories: Cells, Tissues, Circulation, Respiration, Digestion, Urinary System, Hormones & Reproduction, Blood, The Nervous System, and the Senses. The book also contains a brief bibliography and an index.
Though dated, the full color illustrations, graphics and charts complement the text. Kids get a good visual of body systems, organs, and data collected that pertain to the human body. There are also several illustration plates that provide the visual aspect kids like in books.
