For those who are Jane Austen fans, you may already know that Sanditon was one of the unfinished novels Miss Austen was working on before her untimely death in 1817.

I had read the book titled Sanditon and The Watsons: Austen's Unfinished Novels (ISBN - 13: 9780486457932), and was (as any fan would have been) interested in how they would have ended.

This is where this short novel comes into play. Mrs. Shapiro finished said novel. Overall, she did a decent job, it kept my interest. However, I only gave it three stars. It was a one timer. Chapter 11 is where Mrs. Shapiro takes over, and you CAN tell the difference. I found she took on a faster pace then Jane would have (which was a plus), but was worded and laid out differently then I believe Jane would have gone. I also noticed that the characters took on personalities to other Austen characters. Almost to where she just combined many of Austen's characters and put them into this one piece.

Again, it was a decent read. I am not sorry I read it, but I still was expecting more.
