This is another Christian fantasy, the first in a trilogy. The author is apparently primarily a writer of historical romance, but I found this to be a perfectly good fantasy novel. It does have a slight romance in it, but it doesn't dominate the story.
Tahn is a trained assassin under a man named Samis. Samis takes orphans and street children and trains them to become his own personal force of fighters. But Tahn has had enough of Samis's cruelty. He steals away a group of the children and hides them in a cave, where he cares for them and begins to teach them how to survive. He also brings Netta, a woman who was one of his assignments and Samis wants dead, along with her whole family.

A very good adventure with suspense, redemption, and faith.
A fine addition to my library. Recommended!
