This was my first book by Anita Shreve. I couldn't wait to read it after checking out all the reviews, but was very disappointed. I thought it was well written, but did not care for the story at all. I found it to be anti-climatic and didn't feel as though the ending made the reading worthwhile.
Next on my list is The Pilot's Wife, also by Shreve. I hope its better and redeems this author in my eyes.
