I always enjoy these stories. Sometimes I'm on to the criminal before Jessica is, but not often. The only thing I can boast about here is I knew where the diamond was before Jessica announced it.

A lot of Jessica's former acquaintances show up in this story. Of course, there are a lot of new ones too. But you have to wonder, with Jessica solving so many crimes and getting the publicity, why haven't the world's criminal masterminds joined together to eliminate her so they can commit crimes without risking being caught? The answer is very obvious. Their wives are fans of Jessica's novels. And what criminal mastermind wants to get his wife mad at him?

I can see what happens at Jessica's next book signing now. A woman approaches her and says, "Ms. Fletcher, while writing this book you helped the police prove my husband was a master criminal. He was arrested and is now serving life in prison. Could you mention that in the inscription when you autograph my copy? That way, I can lord it over the other master criminals' wives at our next tea."

This book is WLed, but I have to give it back to the local library.
