Oprah's book club. This is an amazing account of one family's roots in early Louisiana through modern day times. ..."they (her grandmothers) fought to unite their family and forge success on their own terms." Very inspiring story of survival during slavery, with pictures of the author's own family which the book is based on. Fascinating.
