Attorney Samuel Hill is headed to his hometown for a little R&R after a tough case. He never expected to become embroiled in another high profile case. His curiosity is peeked as he stumbles upon a boy covered in blood. The boy is being touted as another Eli Lexington. Sam doesn't believe in all that mumbo jumbo. Just because the town is home to the legendary Lexington House doesn't mean evil ghosts provoked the boy to commit murder.

FBI Agent Jenna Duffy's hometown is about to celebrate Halloween like no other. Growing up in a town known for the famous witch trials was definitely different and it opened her eyes and mind. Her uncle calls her home to help him save a boy being railroaded. The boy is known around town as the crazy Smith boy. When his family is murdered and the police find him covered in blood he is suspect number one.

As a member of the Krewe of Hunters Jenna has her own unique talents and she is going to do everything she can to prove the boy innocent. First step convincing Sam Hall to defend the boy. Next, wade through all the supernatural hysterics going on to find the real killer before the killer finds them.

The Evil Inside is phenomenal! This is the fourth book in Heather Graham's Krewe of Hunters series and it's my favorite. You do not have to read the previous books to follow this story but it does make it better. The mystery surrounding Lexington House is fascinating! Jenna's paranormal ability is spooky good! I love Jenna. There is just something so extremely compelling about her. Everything and everyone surrounding this case is eerie keeping the suspenseful tension way up there. Wiccan's, Puritan's, Christians, and Atheists make up this town turning it into a haunting place. I found the secondary characters in this novel to be creepy and entrancing. Jenna and Sam share an undeniable attraction. Sam isn't exactly a believer in the paranormal but there is something about Jenna that makes him want to believe. Their investigation into the murders leads them down many different paths but the most enjoyable one leads to each other. Sam and Jenna make me smile; I love everything about this couple! The Evil Inside flew by it was over way too soon! Ms. Graham's Krewe of Hunters is a captivating bunch and I can't wait to see what mystery they investigate next! The Evil Inside is a taut supernatural thriller!
