A Life of Joy is Amy's best book yet! First, all the proofreading/editing errors peppered throughout several of the earlier books have been fixed. I didn't see any errors in this story. Lindsay's efforts to decide whether she should be Amish or English rings true to most teenagers trying to find their adult identity, apart from that of their parents and siblings. Lindsay's sister Jessica's selfishness continued throughout the story, par for the course with her. I don't see any happy ending coming in her case. I liked that we got to know Frank and Tricia, the sisters' English family, a lot better in this story. They were understanding and compassionate with Lindsay as she struggled to readjust to English life. We also get to learn more about Lindsay's Amish friends Lizzie Anne, Katie, Matthew, and Katie's brother Samuel. The story ended on a cliffhanger, so I'm eagerly awaiting the final book in the series, A Season of Love, which comes out this June.

With thanks to Zondervan via NetGalley for my review copy.

A Life of Joy will be available January 31st at Amazon or Christianbook.
